GARDENS. Have you ever imagined having your own waterfront property, or a natural swimming pond or waterfall to enhance your surroundings? Imagine leaving your busy life behind to head home and enjoy your own private sanctuary while experiencing the soothing and healing properties of water!

The Brome Lake Garden Club’s Winter Speaker Series presents the seminar “Wonderful World of Water Features” on Saturday, March 18 with Doug and Judy Harvey of DJ Harvey Pond World Inc. from the Ottawa area.

Imagine the possibilities: introducing peace, tranquility and a natural environment to your property; enhancing your well-being with the natural sight and sound of a pond, or the serenity of a babbling stream and waterfall, a habitat for fish and wildlife, or harvesting rain to conserve and use during water restrictions. Whether you have concrete plans or just a dream of future projects, this lecture will be interesting for anyone thinking of adding to their property value and to their landscape.

The Harveys have been in this business for over 20 years and are the Canadian leader in creating stunning, one-of-a-kind water environments. They have installed water features of all sizes for over 2,000 clients, as well as giving seminars all over North America about the wonderful world of water features and what they can add to your garden. Each of their projects is unique, tailored to the individual needs of the home-owner.

Many examples of their projects will be shown, small and large, and the Harveys will outline the five important elements of a pond with respect to construction and functionality. The couple works with an extensive network of partners, including landscape architects and designers, stone yards, nurseries and excavation companies. They offer installation, maintenance and service, as well as many pond-related items through their on-line store.
