Performance Arts are a big part of the 2015 Tour des Arts

CULTURE. The Tour des Arts is well known as an opportunity to visit artists and artisans in their studios. 2015 marks the 27th annual edition, and includes 36 artists and artisans displaying and selling their works every day from Saturday, July 11 to Sunday, July 19. Less well known is that the Tour des Arts includes as much live entertainment in the evenings as it does visual arts during the day.

July 11

On Saturday, July 11, at 8:00 p.m., Gissa Israel and Stanley Lake present Till Death Do Us Part: 4 One Acts at Salle Alec et Gérard Pelletier in Sutton. Tickets are $20 and can be reserved at 450-538-1486.

Also on Saturday at 8:00 p.m., Angel Forrest and Denis Coulombe perform live in concert at Scotyz Terrasse & Bistro in Foster. Tickets are $15. For reservations call 450-539-3030.

July 12

On Sunday, July 12 at 4:00 p.m., there is a Pastoral Concert featuring violinist Natalia Kononova, alto Catherine Arsenault and flautist Nikki Arsenault in Good Shepherd Historic Church at 1458 Vallée Missisquoi in Glen Sutton. The suggested contribution is $20. For reservations call 514-582-2342.

Later on Sunday at 8:00 p.m., experience <I>Le Moment Habité<I>, an evening of movement and sound improvisations at 269 chemin du Pinacle in Frelighsburg. Admission is $15. For reservations call 450-538-6060.

July 14

On Tuesday, July 14 at 7:00 p.m., Les écrivains de Potton Writers features readings by French and English writers at the Potton Town Hall in Mansonville. Admission is free. For information call 450-292-3835.

July 17

On Friday, July 17 at 8:00 p.m., Nola and the Devil, an original musical radio drama by Stanley Lake, will be presented at Salle Alec et Gérard Pelletier in Sutton. Admission is $20. For reservations call 450-538-0486.

July 18

The Homebrew Dixieland Band performs a Dinner Concert on Saturday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Restaurant Guido’s at Golf Inverness in Town of Brome Lake. Admission is $10. For reservations call 450-242-1111.

On Saturday at 8:00 p.m. is the Canadian premiere of The Poet & The Player by Marilyn Bullivant and Rick Davey, tracing 2 years in the life of the poet T. S. Eliot. The presentation takes place at Salle Alec et Gérard Pelletier in Sutton. Admission is $20. For reservations call 450-538-0486.
